Frequently asked questions.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, I ship worldwide. The artwork is shipped securely, and a tracking ID will be sent to the customer along with a certificate of authenticity. Please note import taxes and fees for non-European countries are not included in the sale price.
Do you providing tracking information on shipments?
Yes tracking will be provided unless its a collection or a local personal delivery using the gallery’s van.
What materials do you use?
Currently I use pre-stretched framed canvas. I make my own oil paints from Walnut oil for a higher spec and the texture I’ve developed is called Arctic Ice which is a fast drying high quality paste with a nice finish. Varnishing the paintings are optional. For larger pieces I usually assemble my own pre-streched canvases.
Are the paintings ready to hang?
The paintings are fitted with a wire ready to hang but the larger pieces that are on pre-stretched canvas are better hung using two deep set screws as they are heavy & need a sturdy hold.
Can I have my piece framed?
Yes I can organise framing. Some of the pieces are already framed however if you wanted to change the colour or add a bespoke frame please email me the details and I will organise it. The frames I use for the canvas pieces are floating gallery frames. These are done by a professional framing company https://www.aotframing.com and require 1 - 2 weeks to get it all done. Once completed we then collect the framed artwork and deliver. The results are fantastic.
Exhibitions and Collaborations?
I am always interested in showcasing my artwork at exhibitions and welcome any kind of collaboration, please feel free to contact me with your ideas. My exhibition page shows the upcoming shows I will be attending.
Do you hold any abstract oil painting workshops?
Yes, I am a qualified art, design and media lecturer and will be running workshops throughout the year in the art gallery. Please visit my workshop page for more details.
What do you use to protect the oil painting?
After 6 months the paintings are ready to be varnished for preservation. There are various types of varnish from a gloss finish to a matt finish. Please let me know if you’d like your chosen piece of artwork varnished.
Can I pay via BACS?
Yes send me an email with the name of your chosen piece and I will send an invoice with my BACS details.
