The black velvet rose has become a popular favourite extra with my collectors. I’ve always loved the theatrical dark element of the black velvet rose. It has a slighter edgier approach to the romantic season but still has a lovely elegance to it.

The first time I sold a textured snow painting the black rose was next to it. The buyer insisted on buying the rose along with the artwork. Soon after that another buyer came in and asked for some artwork and enquired about the black rose. Word spread and my Valentines signature was born.
