10-12pm Sketch and add textures.
12 noon - Break for lunch
1-3pm - Add colour using oils & acrylics to create aethereal dreamlike artwork.
Dive into the world of texture, capturing the essence of one of the most historic annd beautiful grounds in Sussex. Steeped in deep history Amberley Castles architecture, charming interiors and stunning grounds has an enchanting feel to it. In this day retreat, you'll create your own deep edge textured canvas artwork inspired by the castles stunning garden, and architecture. No prior experience needed.
Textured art adds depth and character to any piece of artwork. We will be using my Arctic Ice own brand of texture.
Guided by myself a qualified art, design & media teacher, this 1 day art retreat will include conceptual creative design, canvas prep, textured sketch layers and palette knife colour application using acrylics for the underpainting and the oils to finish.
The artwork can be taken home on the day.
The retreat starts at 10a.m with a tea and coffee to start, a light lunch and a glass of pimms. We will be based in the castles gorgeous Great Room on the ground floor with direct access to the garden, but we will venture out with our easels down to the lake.
All materials are supplied. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on.
Please arrive promptly and bring a hat and sunscreen.
Maximum of 8 spaces.
